Choosing this command will bring up a dialog box containing all of the formats you’ve created. Select the format you’d like to edit and click on the Edit button.
You will now be presented with a large dialog box that contains a scaled down graphic representation of how the labels are laid out on the page on the left and numercial values and a scroll bar on the right. Here are these values and what they represent:
Label Height: the height of an individual label in inches
Label Width: the width of an individual label in inches
No. of Columns: the number of colums of labels per page
No. of Rows: the number of rows of labels per page
Horizontal Spacing: the space to leave horizontally between individal labels in inches
Vertical Spacing: the space to leave vertically between individual labels in inches
Top Margin: the number of inches to come down from the top of the page
Right Margin: the number of inches to the right to come over
To adjust a value, click on the value (you will notice that it will be framed by a rectangle to indicate that it is the active value) and the scrollbar will take on the setting of that value. Then simply use the scroll bar to adjust the value. Clicking on the up arrow will decrease the value, the down arrow will increase it. The graphical representation will automatically update to depict the new settings.
Continue clicking on the various values and adjusting them until you have created a format which matches the labels you will be using, and then click on the Save button to save it. If you hold down the command key when you click on the Save button, you will be able to edit the format’s name and comment.
